These terms govern use of BaptistFinder, including browsing the directory, submitting information, requesting changes, and applying for paid Featured Supporter placement.
1. About BaptistFinder
BaptistFinder is an independently operated informational directory. It is not a church, denomination, accrediting body, legal representative, or agent of any listed church. A listing does not by itself mean that BaptistFinder or the church has verified every detail.
2. Using directory information
Directory information is provided to help visitors research churches. Details can become incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Confirm service times, directions, accessibility, beliefs, and other important details directly with the church before relying on them. You remain responsible for your decisions and interactions.
3. Verification and paid placement
Verification describes BaptistFinder's review status; it is not a guarantee, endorsement, background check, or statement about safety. General financial support does not purchase verification or featured placement. Featured Supporter is a separate paid subscription and is clearly labeled. It may appear only for eligible city or municipality searches, may rotate fairly with other eligible subscribers, and does not guarantee clicks, attendance, donations, or a permanent first position.
4. Submissions and update requests
When you submit information, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you may lawfully provide it, and that it does not invade privacy or infringe another person's rights. You grant BaptistFinder a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, review, format, reproduce, and publish the submitted material solely to operate, explain, and promote the directory. You keep any ownership you already have.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, children's personal contact details, confidential material, passwords, payment-card information, or content you are not allowed to share. BaptistFinder may verify, edit for clarity and formatting, decline, unpublish, or remove a submission. Submission does not guarantee publication.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security controls, interfere with availability, send automated spam, scrape at a harmful rate, impersonate another person or church, submit malicious code, or use directory data for harassment, fraud, or unlawful discrimination.
6. Featured Supporter applications and payments
An application is reviewed before payment is arranged. A subscription begins only after BaptistFinder confirms approval, payment, and activation. Current price, billing period, included features, and any renewal or cancellation terms must be confirmed in writing before payment. Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, completed periods already delivered are not automatically refundable. BaptistFinder may suspend featured benefits if payment expires, a church is no longer eligible, or a listing violates these terms.
7. Intellectual property
The BaptistFinder name, site design, original writing, and original graphics belong to BaptistFinder or their respective licensors. Church names, logos, photographs, and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Limited display in a directory does not transfer ownership. See the IP Concerns process if you believe material infringes your rights.
8. External services and links
The site may link to church websites, maps, social networks, forms, payment services, and other independent services. BaptistFinder does not control their availability, security, content, or privacy practices. Their own terms apply.
9. Availability and responsibility
The directory is provided on an “as available” basis. BaptistFinder works to keep it useful and secure but cannot promise uninterrupted access, complete accuracy, or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by applicable law, BaptistFinder is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by reliance on a listing, a third-party service, or temporary site unavailability. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes, suspension, and governing law
BaptistFinder may change the site or these terms as the project develops. Material changes will be shown by updating the date above. Continued use after an update means the new terms apply to later use. Access or listings may be limited where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, directory standards, or protection of others. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without limiting mandatory rights that may apply where you live.
